Elm Street Drain Reconstruction Project Schedule, Limited Road Access/Temporary Road Closure Notification

The Elm Street Drain Reconstruction Project will be soon underway.  The primary purpose and scope of work consists of installing a stormwater drain down the center of the railroad bed that sits between South Pendleton Avenue and Main Street to eliminate flooding issues that have existed for many years.   This railroad bed starts just south of Elm Street and runs south to Main Street, near Madison Avenue.

For this project, the majority of the work will be limited to the railroad bed.  However, due to access needs for large equipment from Elm Street and Main Street, the project may create limited access/temporary lane closures on Elm Street and Main Street while work is being conducted.

Weather permitting, the contractor plans to start work on Monday, March 4th and anticipates work to be finished by the end of April.
