Civic Organizations and Not-for-Profits

It’s easy to get involved – if you believe in the cause. In Pendleton, numerous civic organizations add value to the town. Not because it’s mandatory, but because so many people here want to help make a difference. See the organizations below for more information.

  • 3Rivers Credit Union Community Foundation offers a variety of ways to give back to the community, including community sponsorships, financial literacy, education scholarships, wellness, employee giveback and in-kind giving.
  • Friends for Paws operates solely off of donations and volunteers in order to advocate for the wellbeing of animals across our community, and assist the town in rescuing lost or abandoned animals within town limits.
  • Friends of Falls Park assists the Park Board in preserving, improving, and promoting historical Falls Park for the enjoyment of all generations.
  • Girl Scouts of Central Indiana Forever friendship is a powerful thing. It’s what gives Girl Scouts the confidence to be themselves, unapologetically. It’s what makes them feel safe enough to try new things and cheer each other on in tough times.   • Historic Fall Creek, Pendleton Settlement promotes and preserves the historic character, associations, and architecture of Pendleton, Indiana and the surrounding area. 
  • Iron Horse Booster Club provides fundraising support for the Iron Horse Martial Arts Taekwondo competition team, recreational athletes, and high school competition club who wish to compete in tournaments and empower growth of all our martial arts athletes.
  • Jeeps of Pendleton hosts the Pendleton Jeep Jam, a fundraiser that allows everyone to do what they love while serving a good cause.
  • Leadership Academy of Madison County provides an interactive experience in community leadership and seeks to develop servant leaders by exposing to best practices for community leadership, including through lecture, open dialogue, on-site visitation, and class interaction.
  • Madison County Chamber of Commerce is connected to many of the important issues driving commerce in our region and represents those interests publicly.
  • Madison County Corporation for Economic Development the CED plans and undertakes activities leading to steady job growth, increasing economic diversity, and a strengthened employer base which enhance the quality of life in Madison County.
  • Main Street Pendleton seeks to encourage restoration and revitalization in downtown Pendleton that results in economic development and a positive sense of community.
  • More Than Conquerors provides a free after school program, as well as a daytime summer camp operating out of the Fall Creek Christian Church in Pendleton. More Than Conquerors is open to kids leaving 4th-8th grades.
  • Operation Love Ministries provides basic needs, human services, and annual programs that not only address immediate needs but focus on long-lasting changes and goals towards success. OLM Provides a Food Pantry, a clothing pantry, nutrition and cooking classes, a budget assessment and financial assistance, seasonal back-to-school readiness program, and a seasonal Christmas wishes program.
  • Pendleton Business Association is a representative of the local business community that strives to enhance local business activity with networking opportunities for the members.
  • Pendleton Farmer’s Market is an association of independent farmers and craftsmen, utilizing social media and networking to share events and venues of mutual benefit.
  • Pendleton Garden Club is a group of gardeners who meet monthly in the Falls Park Community Building to discuss gardening topics.
  • Pendleton Heights High School Best Buddies builds friendships and promotes inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout our community.
  • Pendleton Historical Museum operates on donations and volunteers to preserve the history of the South Madison area.
  • Pendleton Junior Baseball is a recreational Junior Baseball and Softball Program that organizes varying leagues for players between the ages of 5 and 21.
  • Pendleton Kiwanis is a local chapter of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and community at a time. Kiwanis stages service projects and raises money for communities, families, and projects.
  • Pendleton Lions Club comes together as friends and neighbors dedicated to enhance the quality of life in our great community. The diverse services offered include eye exams, educational scholarships, summer concerts in the park, and hosting the annual June Jamboree.
  • Pendleton Youth Soccer Association is a recreational academy and travel soccer program for boys and girls ages 2 to 14, located in Pendleton and open to surrounding areas.
  • Safe Families for Children is a collection of hundreds of families who’ve opened their homes to care for children whose parents are struggling.
  • The Excel Center provides support services such as on-site child care, transportation assistance, and college credit and industry-recognized certification courses – all at no cost.
